Hi! Thank you for checking in to my new world of writing with bonus food talk! As a debut author nearing 60, my dream of writing a novel has come true. Don't give up on your dreams! It pleases me to know that my character, Raven McKade, after nearly three decades of living in my head, has come to life. In BEHIND THE GATE, Raven overcomes a tragedy and a loss that takes her down a path of self reflection and internal repair. Something we can all relate to at one time or another in our own lives. I hope you enjoy!!
A funny tidbit about me: I'm from “SPAM TOWN”. Most people have no idea where that is on God's green earth. It's a small town in southern Minnesota close to the Iowa border called Austin. Born and raised, my father worked at Hormel where SPAM is made. My mother used this salt laden so called meat mixture in more ways than I care to count, but the favorite was grilled with slices of pineapple. The biggest consumers of this canned meat are Hawaiians! That's correct. Over 7 million cans sold each year. Give it a try or...don't!!
